What is Seal the Deal?
Seal the Deal is the final step that locks in a confirmed booking. After you accept a Handshake, both you and the artist must confirm within 48 hours. Once both sides confirm, the booking is official.
How to complete Seal the Deal
- 1.Go to Handshakes in your venue nav.
- 2.Find the accepted Handshake card showing Accepted status.
- 3.Click Seal the Deal.
- 4.The booking is confirmed once the artist confirms on their side too.
What happens after
- •The booking appears on your Bookings page.
- •The artist receives a booking confirmation.
- •Every audience member following you or the artist — or whose category and genre preferences match the booking — receives a Just Got Lynqd notification instantly.
- •The artist's email and website appear on your confirmed booking card so you can coordinate directly.
The 48-hour window
If either party does not complete Seal the Deal within 48 hours, the Handshake automatically reverts to pending and the open date reopens. All other applicants are revived and can still be accepted — no one loses their place in line.
Tip: Complete Seal the Deal as soon as you accept a Handshake. The sooner both sides confirm, the sooner your audience gets notified.
Drive attendance after confirming
Once your booking is confirmed, a Send Reminder button appears on the booking card. Use it to send a message to all your followers about the upcoming show — great for driving attendance the day before or day of the event. See Messaging Your Followers for details.
Note: Lynqd audience members receive an automatic 24-hour reminder before every confirmed show — you do not need to send a manual reminder the day before. Use Send Reminder strategically — a few days before the show to build excitement, or to share specific details like parking, dress code, or a special guest.
